Why Would You Need Vegetation Management Contractors?

We are able to remove any unwanted trees! Turn to us to safely remove any tree that is:

  • Too big for its surroundings
  • Dangerous
  • Diseased
  • In need of removal because it's blocking a development or alternative land use
  • Blocking out daylight from your home
  • Preventing other plants from flourishing in your yard
  • A poisonous or restricted species

We Offer Stump Grinding & Root Excavation

There are two options when it comes to dealing with the roots of felled trees. These are stump grinding or digging them out. Digging out roots, as the name suggests, involves excavating around the roots and removing them.

This prevents grow-back but does cause enormous disruption to your soil's surface. It's also labour intensive (and therefore expensive).

The other option is stump grinding. This involves the use of a special stump grinding machine, that nips away small chunks of the tree trunk and top parts of the roots, down to ground level. The stump is ground down to such a low level that grow-back is virtually impossible.

Customers are left with a flat surface. Roots located below the surface gradually die and rot back into the soil. This is a more economical, quicker and less disruptive process in comparison to root removal.

What To Expect From Our Vegetation Management Service

In the first instance, our vegetation management contractors will arrange to visit on-site and assess the work that you want to complete. This enables us to decide on the least risky way of removing the trees or shrubs under consideration. We will discuss the options available with you, giving you all the information needed to make decisions that are right for you.

Once you've decided on the best course of action, we'll provide a FREE, no-obligation quote for the work. If you're happy with our pricing, we'll schedule a date and time at your convenience.

Whilst in most cases we can erect a safety barrier around the tree during removal that enables a site to be used as normal during tree removal, in some circumstances you may have to make sure that the wider area is kept clear whilst we're at work.

Customers can choose whether they want the roots of the removed tree digging out, or whether they would prefer stump grinding. You may choose to keep the timber from the felled tree, or we can turn it into mulch for you. If you don't want your mulch, we can remove it for you, leaving the site clear and ready for its new use.

  • Why is vegetation management necessary?

Vegetation management is vital for several reasons. Primarily, it helps reduce the risk of wildfires by removing potentially flammable materials from critical areas. It also plays a crucial role in maintaining the health and growth of native plant species by controlling invasive vegetation. For infrastructure, such as power lines and roads, vegetation management ensures safety and reliability by preventing outages and obstructions. Moreover, it contributes to the aesthetic appeal of landscapes, making environments more enjoyable for communities. Effective vegetation management is a proactive step towards safeguarding properties, ecosystems and communities.

  • Why is it important to keep vegetation away from power lines?

Keeping vegetation away from power lines is essential for ensuring public safety and the reliability of electricity supply. Trees and branches that come into contact with power lines can lead to power outages, pose a fire hazard and even cause electrocution risks. Therefore, managing vegetation around these lines helps prevent such accidents and ensures that electricity distribution is efficient and uninterrupted. It’s a critical task that requires a careful balance between maintaining the vegetation's health and ensuring the power infrastructure's safety and functionality.

  • Who performs vegetation management?

Vegetation management is typically performed by specialised contractors with the expertise, equipment and training necessary to carry out the work safely and effectively. These contractors are knowledgeable about local environmental regulations, safety standards and the best practices for managing various types of vegetation. The team includes arborists, machine operators and other skilled personnel who understand how to assess and manage the vegetation in a way that meets the project's goals while minimising harm to the environment and ensuring public safety.

  • What should you look for in a vegetation management contractor?

When selecting a vegetation management contractor, it's essential to consider several key factors to ensure you are choosing a reputable and capable provider. Look for a company with extensive experience and a good track record in the industry. They should have a team of qualified professionals, including certified arborists, knowledgeable about the latest techniques and environmental regulations. The contractor should also demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and environmental protection, using sustainable practices whenever possible. Additionally, ensure they have clear communication processes and can provide tailored solutions that meet your specific needs. Choosing a contractor who meets these criteria will ensure that your vegetation management is conducted efficiently, safely and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
